Following the establishment of Nokia-Siemens, Siemens recently transferred its 51% stake in TD-Tech to the aforementioned venture with Nokia. TD-Tech, a company established for the development and manufacturing of TD-SCDMA technologies and products, is a joint venture between Siemens and Huawei. However, Nokia previously set up another joint venture with Potevio to make TD-SCDMA mobile phones. Whether Huawei's TD-SCDMA business will be compromised following the transfer of stake in TD-Tech remains to be seen.
